What is the difference between eyebrow tint, hybrid tint, and henna brows?

Standard eyebrow tint colours the brow hairs only and lasts 3–4 weeks. Hybrid brow tint (similar to henna) stains both hair and skin for a longer-lasting, more defined result, lasting 4–6 weeks. Henna brows use a natural plant-based formula that tints both hair and skin, ideal for filling sparse areas and creating a fuller brow shape. WOW LASH offers all three options.

Everyone was so nice and accommodative, even if I had my lashes filled somewhere else before and came for a refill (which not everyone does, quite inconvenient for a traveller). In the early days, Jasmine did a wonderful job looking after me but there were times when I couldn't get a suitable appointment so I began seeing lovely Yuki every 4-6 weeks (as long as my budget allows) for lash extensions. Yuki is meticulous and takes great care ensuring she uses the perfect amount of product (lashes and glue). I have sensitive eyes yet they never feel irritated nor does the glue feel crunchy. I like a more natural look so choose the 2D Hybrid; they are nice and full but never look "over done" so to speak. We all know beauty services are pricey and sometimes the time between my appointments is longer than ideal. That said, by the time I do get to the next appointment, the remaining lashes still look and feel good. IME, 95% of the time, the artist is waiting for the customer to arrive yet appointments are never rushed and I always receive the allocated time. Make sure you book at least a week in advance as it's sometimes difficult to get an appointment with some artists. If you want a second service straight after the first, make it two. The online booking platform is easy to use, Jasmine sometimes offers promotions and gives little gift vouchers for your birthday and christmas.
The entrance to the shop is flat which makes it easily accessible for people in wheelchairs or those with special mobility needs.

Is eyebrow tinting permanent?

No, eyebrow tinting is not permanent. In our experience, it typically lasts between 4 to 6 weeks.

The longevity of the tint depends on various factors, such as individual hair growth, skin type, and aftercare.

Proper maintenance and avoiding excessive scrubbing or exposure to strong chemicals can help extend the tint’s lifespan.

What's the difference between henna and regular tint?

Henna comes in powder and liquid forms. It also lasts a lot longer than your average eyebrow tint. You can stain the skin giving a fuller look.

Henna lasts up to 6 weeks on the hair, and up to 10 days on the skin. It’s a naturally devised product, however it does alter the PH so cannot be used with brow lamination (can be done 48 hours after lamination).

This takes around 45 minutes for the treatment. Works well on grey/mature hair, but mainly warm colours. Goes on in a paste, develops and dries into a thick paste so it can be timely to remove.

The process is created in layers so you can choose how bold or natural you want the final result to be. It also comes in a variety of shades.

What's the difference between hybrid tint and henna?

Hybrid has taken the brow world by storm and is basically described as a tint that has a duo result – it tints the hair and the skin.

Hybrid Tint is a product that stains the skin and the hairs, without henna.

This can be used with Lamination. We use a professional Stain Hybrid Brow Dye.

Stain is a Hybrid dye professional brow colour consisting of half henna and half brow tint. Hybrid dye offers the power and intensity of henna with the ease of a regular tint.

What is henna made of?

Brow Henna treatments are a natural & organic alternative to Brow Tinting. Henna dye is extracted from a plant called Lawsonia Inermis, or simply the Henna tree.

We love how it’s a more natural option for achieving beautifully tinted brows.

Is Henna durable?

From our experience, brow Code Henna can last up to 10 days on the skin and four weeks on the hairs, when applied correctly and maintained post-treatment.

It is designed to cast a shadow or create an illusion of depth and fullness in the area.

What aftercare do I need to follow post henna?

To achieve longevity in Brow Henna, follow our go-to tips for 24-48 hours post treatment:

No rubbing, scrubbing or exfoliating
Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and heat styling
No makeup products to be applied on freshly pigmented brows.
No activities that promote moisture on the skin (swimming, sauna, exercise).
Do not apply Retin-A, AHA, or exfoliate around the brow area for 72 hours on either side of the treatment.
Moisturise the brows daily with a few drops of our Brow Gold Nourishing Growth Oil.

Do I need to do a patch test?

Yes, we always recommend patch testing before performing any form of brow service. A patch test should be performed a minimum of 7-10 days before introducing pigment into the skin by a qualified individual.
